Washington students struggle with filing for federal aid. Simplifying the process could increase enrollment, especially among first-generation students.
Becca Tibbetts earned her Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management at Walla Walla Community College. She is currently working on a Master of Arts in Higher Education Student Affairs at Grand Canyon University.
Baydaa Alshatee is a first-generation student who started her college journey at Everett Community College, where she earned an associate’s degree in Journalism. She then transferred to Western Washington University, where she is now focused on furthering her education in Law, Diversity, and Justice.
Hennessy Rodriguez graduated with her associates degree from Yakima Valley College. After that, she transferred to the University of Washington and is now pursuing a degree in Community, Environment, and Planning, a small cohort in the College of the Built Environment.
