Rally For Students!

Rally For Students!

The Washington State Government is proposing drastic cuts to public higher education funding and financial aid programs—cuts that could harm students across the state. We cannot sit idly by as the future of higher education and the access to opportunities it provides are at risk.

Join us for a Rally and Day of Action on April 7th at the Capitol in Olympia!

The Washington Student Association, The Washington Bus, and the Washington Student Engagement Network are coming together to advocate for the protection of financial aid and the prevention of tuition hikes. We will rally at the Capitol on the North Steps of the Legislative Building starting at 11am.

Why This Matters:

Currently, vital financial aid programs like the Washington College Grant are on the chopping block, and there are proposals to increase student tuition. These cuts will hurt current and future students, especially those who rely on financial aid to attend college. We must make it clear to our elected officials that investing in higher education is essential for building a strong, educated workforce and a prosperous future for Washington State.
